Please, Please, Please, guest star Robert Downey Jr. at least once. My friend and I think he is really hot and we want to know what he says. I went to go see Iron Man with my friend and it was awesome. I think I will be going to see it again pretty soon. I love Robert Downey Jr. and I want to see him on TRL. You're right, there's nobody cooler than RDJ. You missed one great episode of TRL when Robert came with his Iron Man co-star Gwyneth Paltrow and director Jon Favreau for the entire hour. Metro Station
Hi I’m 15 years old and I live in Victorville, CA and I noticed you haven't gotten Metro Station to play live on the show yet and I consider myself their number one fan so, I was wondering when, if they ever do play live, when will they be there?
Thanks for Venting and for the run-on sentence, too! Did you see Metro Station on the show a few weeks back? The guys went outside in Times Square to make milkshakes for their fans! Music From Across The Seas
TRL rocks and has great music but I think that you should let people from other countries perform so maybe they can make it big in America. For example, the British band Mcfly. They have great music and I think you should have them on your show so they can be big in the US.

I think that you should try and get the newlyweds Pete and Ashlee on the show. They can maybe talk about what life is like, being a husband and wife. And a special appearance by Pete's dog Hemmingway. That would be a pretty good show.

Simple Plan On TRL
Hey TRL, I think if it's possible, you guys should work out something to get Simple Plan in there. I've been really into their music lately and they're so awesome and funny! Also thanks for trying to work out a Jonas Brothers date too! I love them to death and it'd be really cool to see them on there. So please, try your very best to get Simple Plan and JB on the show! I have to watch TRL everyday. I am Paramore's number 1 fan but you don't have them on as much as you used to. Are you guys going to have them anytime soon? I watched yesterday and they should have been on because they are part of the Fueled by Ramen label. - Samah
Samah, thanks for Venting! You're right, they were one band absent from our big Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance show. However, Hayley stopped by that Wednesday, and put to rest those nasty rumors about the band breaking up. They've been busy lately, shooting a new video and touring the world. They know our door is always open, and we're pretty sure they'll be back soon. -
TRL Countdown And New Artists
Hey, I am 14 years old and from Ohio. I have only been watching TRL since November of 2007, but I think it is a really great show. There are just a few things that I think could make it better. First of all, I think that when it comes to the countdown, the videos that are on it should be just decided by the votes. I also think that instead of just having the same really popular music acts come back several times, you should bring in some new music acts that are trying to make it big and get some exposure. For example, I would love to see an up and coming singer, Joey Page, on the show. He has an incredible voice and he really deserves some publicity. Thanks for reading my comment! - Liz.

We’re receiving comments just like yours, but we're also getting some who love the countdown including the categories like ringtones and online downloads. We’re working to bring you your favorite videos in new and exciting ways on a daily basis, so keep checking in with us. As for Joey Page, tell him to hit up the casting section of trl.mtv.com and maybe he'll work out for "On Your Radar," a new part of the show where we bring in your favorite artists who aren't signed to big record labels to give them their shot on national television. -

Demi Lovato
Hey TRL! I'm Carrie and I'm from New Jersey. I think you should get Demi Lovato on the show. She's going to be in the movie Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers this summer and she has an amazing voice. Also she's going to have an album out I think later this year. So it would be awesome to get to see her on the show! Thanks.

Kidz In The Hall
I just saw recently that you guys have Kidz In the Hall in your TRL rotation. Wow. An underground hip-hop group on TRL? I must commend you guys because there is a lot of good music out there that is overlooked because people are being forced to listen to horrible pop music. Suggestions For TRL Today
Hey, my name is Andy, I'm 16, and I'm from Missouri. I began watching TRL in June 2003 and watched it daily until January 2006, when it was moved to an earlier time slot. I'm going to be brutally honest. The show had been going downhill for quite some time. Had it "always been about the fans," it wouldn't be in the position it is now. I was actually thinking the show was a lost cause, but the "vent" has given me some hope. My idea to make TRL better is essentially a renaissance - to go back to its roots (the music and the fans). My recommendations are as follows... 5 days-per-week, 50-day retirement rule, 90-minute shows, only TRL votes factor, less hiatuses, live - not taped, better time slot, new graphics and set. Thank you for your consideration. P.S. As cheesy as it may sound, TRL use to be the highlight of my day and was what I looked forward to after school. I would love for the show to turn things around and make it to its 10-year anniversary in September. - ATRL.net member and former fan, Andy R.
Hey Andy. First of all, thanks for sticking with us. At its core, TRL has always been about fans like you, and your continued passion is a big part of what keeps us going strong. In terms of your comments, you bring up some very interesting points. We do have a lot of change in store, but as is often the case in television, change doesn't happen overnight. As you know, TRL has been on the air for nearly a decade, and it wouldn't have been able to survive without reinventing itself through graphics, set design, and creative content. To that end, we are in the process of developing a new look for the studio, new graphics are currently being created, and we have lots of new segments that will debut in a matter of weeks. And while we know this doesn't answer all of your questions, you can rest assured that every concern being brought up by you and our other viewers is being tackled full-force by the TRL staff. We know we'll never be able to satisfy everyone, but we'll damn well try. So keep the faith, keep watching, and keep venting. -
Free Giveaways On The Show

Hey Jarrett, thanks for Venting! We give out free stuff all the time on the show, but you’re right… the home audience doesn’t always get the same hookups as the in-studio audience. So how about this… we’re going to look into a way to randomly select viewers at home to receive the same cool gifts that our studio audience receives – everything from movies and video games to CDs and gadgets. We’re not sure how it’s going to work yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Thanks again for the suggestion. If we’re able to figure it out, you can tell everyone it was all your doing! -

Fewer Songs On The Countdown
I've noticed that over the years that the countdown videos have been tremendously reduced. I think that the videos should be lengthened so they all get the same air time. I wanna hear more then 20 seconds of my favorite song. - Stephanie E.

Unfortunately, we only have an hour in which to fit everything from celebrity guests and giveaways to world premieres and performances.
